Help Jokers Skateshop.

The guys at Jokers Skateshop are good people. Down for skateboarding and have supported what we do here since day one. So, when we get word that they were robbed last night, we take it personal. Jokers is a Mom and Pop shop. They are not a huge corporation with money to burn. These are people like you and I, working day in and day out, trying to stay above water… and doing it for the love of skateboarding. Fortunately, skateboarders are a tight nit group and look out for each other. When you steal from one of us, you steal from all of us… and no one likes a thief. So please, anyone with information on who did this or if you see anyone trying to sell a bunch of decks and shirts, contact Jokers for a $250 reward 714-962-8429.

Didn’t think they would have security cameras?

new fontana skatepark grand opening.

Went out to the new Fontana Skatepark grand opening on Saturday to shoot a couple pics. This park is pretty sick if you are into skating bowls. It has a flow section with what I believe is Socal’s only cradle, a big and fast peanut bowl and a roman/amoeba hybrid with stairs and a deathbox. Both bowls have a new pool coping that takes a little getting used to. It doesn’t make any noise when you grind it and is super fast. The street section has your typical ledges, manny pad, hubba, a 8 stair rail, euro gap, etc. The park is super fun and definitely worth checking out.

solvang 9/20/08.

Chris, Dale and I headed north yesterday for a shredfest/b-day bbq at Solvang. Stopped in Santa Barbara to pick up Mr. Lightner and when we arrived we were greeted by Colin, Jeff, Steve, Matty, Toby, John and others. This was the first time for a few of us at this park and it took a while to get used to, but was super fun. Skated for a while then sat down for some BBQ and “Barley Pops” as Colin calls them.

Heavily medicated, Dale decides we should take one more victory lap before we hit the road. This final roll thru ended with Dale’s frontside air bail to padless knees and the local Sheriff kicking us out for no pads.

All in all an amazing day of skate, food, brews and friends. Fucking Lamb of God, Dude!
