Fillmore Grand Opening Footage.
Fillmore Skatepark Grand Opening.
Checked out the Fillmore Skatepark grand opening Saturday and it was PACKED! This place is pretty fun. The bowl is gnarly and super quick. Flow is fast with a bunch of lines. All the street ledges and rail stuff looks super fun. Everyone was killing it! Here are a few photos.

I have post up Propagandhi before, but their new album Supporting Caste came out a few weeks ago and hasn’t left my car since. Get it.
Clashed at Clairemont – 3/14/09.
Headed down to SD Saturday to check out the Grind for Life Clash at Clairemont and shoot some photos for SoCal Skateparks. This is the 3rd year and by the looks of it, seemed to be pretty successful…all for a great cause. Here are a few photos.

This is what happens when someone brings a tire into the park.

My old friend Monk sent me this. Funks not Dead!
This is why Pocket Pistols rule.
I’m sure most of the younger generation of skaters couldn’t care less about the graphics on their boards. Lucky for old dudes like me that there are a few companies out there still doing it up proper. Pocket Pistols Skateboards happens to be one of them…and one of the very few that are screenprinting their boards instead of putting shitty heat transfers on them. To top it off they bust out with stuff like this…1980’s Cruz Missile Concave Santa Cruz blanks with a Natas spoof graphic by Matt French. These things are limited to 60 so good luck getting one. Something so simple. Something so trivial.
