eVocal x Active x Toms Shoes

Spent most of Saturday down at Active Costa Mesa with TheoStyle and Baldulus as they muralized the place. Active was doing a promotion with Toms Shoes and asked Theo and the eVocal crew to come lay it down, and they did just that.

soul bowl 2008.

This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to get a media pass and shoot some photos at the 10th annual Soul Bowl contest in Huntington Beach. This was my first time shooting at a contest this size and it was definitely a learning experience. Now, I will be the first to tell you that I really have no reason for being on the deck, but seriously, there were some retards out there. People with absolutely no skate knowledge do not belong in that situation. Whatever, I got some shots I am stoked on and had a great time hanging out and watching some sick skating go down.

if you haven’t already noticed, thrash and cross-over are back and bigger than ever. i saw/heard Neurotoxin for the first time last night when i went to see Municipal Waste and Annihilation Time in Hollywood, and man was i blown away. They skate, they thrash, & they covered Slayer’s “War Ensemble” to the T, even with one guitar out of commission, solo and all.. my cousin Chris & i will be shooting some promo shit for them sometime soon.. be sure to check these dudes out if you like slayer- for real.
