Pam Brodowski Benefit.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that when a fellow skateboarder is in need, the skateboard community steps up and helps out. Saturday was no exception. Pam Brodowski was recently diagnosed with cancer and has been going through a number of treatments. A benefit was held at Fontana skatepark over the weekend in order to raise funds to easy up some of the financial burden as Pam beats this horrible disease, the donation will be tax free but you can be sure using the best Metric seis tax relief to calculate your finances.

If you didn’t make it out to the event and want to support Pam’s battle with cancer, please send any donations via paypal to pamela_brodowski@yahoo.com

Radballs 5 Year Anniversary Skate Jam.

This past Saturday we celebrated our 5th anniversary with some punk rock and heavy shredding at Unit B. Pretty blown away by all of you that came out to support the cause. We raised close to $500 for The A.skate Foundation by raffling of product all donated by companies we support and admire. Huge thank you to Taco Dudes for bringing out the food, DJ Don Cesar for keeping the party going the whole time, Dirtbag, Slow Children and the infamous Whitekaps for coming out and making ears bleed.

Before it all started, Brad Markley, with a little help from KB, blasted the wall.

Heavy load

Just some of the raffle product

We had the grand idea to hold a worst trick-contest… well, there was so much ripping going down that it was only obvious to scratch that idea and give away some cash for the best trick. Since SoCal Skateshop donated the prize money, the only problem now was trying to figure who it should go to. Charlie Blair, Ronnie Yerman, Tristan Rennie, Denzel White, Robbie Russo, Riley Stevens and a bunch of others were blowing minds and pushing Unit B to it’s limits. But, after an unanimous decision, Riley took the $100 with his epic smith stall on the railing (see video).

The Hype Train.

Zach Dowdy – Crailgrind – Carnation, WA

Zach Dowdy and the Typical Culture crew have been clocking in hours of footage for their upcoming DIY video, The Hype Train. Hitting spots all over Southern California, taking it up the coast to Washington and even across the pond to Europe. By the looks of this trailer it will definitely not disappoint.
