Sleep –
Ozzie Ausband Guest Post

Sleep. The great earth is still. Leaves wither and brown. They fall away and touch the earth. Decay. The great cycle of life. New things will come from them after the earth sleeps. A few friends stop by from time to time throughout the year. They are from other places. Snow birds. Colorado. Pennsylvania. All over…

They try and sit out the cold spell. Frost glistens in the morning. Old bones crack and ache. The snow birds flutter and move to warmer regions. They long for warmth. We provide it. In spirit. They fly. They sing. They collect in groups and drink from cement ponds… nourishment for the soul. The snow birds are content. Thanks to Brandon Wong for the images. Skate- Ozzie

Salamander Ranch –
Super Bowl Sunday 2014.
Hanging Around Fresno.

Cam, Kyle and I took a trip up north last month to Peacock Land for an epic weekend of pool shred. You can always count on Peacock to bring the goods and he did not disappoint. Hit some brand new ones and some old favorites. All in all good times with good friends… a perfect weekend hanging around Fresno.

Next up was a epic Blue Haven Rossmore Kidney. Could have skated this thing for days.

Swung by Ted’s to lurk out in the shallow end.

The next day, The Illusion showed up and kicked it into high gear.

Stopped by Ray’s for a game of skate and some House Beer that The Illusion was kind enough to bring to the party.

On the way home took a slight detour to check out this roadside gem. A little water never stopped an Aussie from shredding.

Oh wait, yes it did.

Huge thanks to Peacock for the hospitality and heavy shred… until next time.
New Oceanside Alex Road Skatepark.
Checked out the new Oceanside Alex Road Skatepark over the weekend. Built by California Skateparks, it has a little bit for everyone. Small little flow, ledges and rails and even a little vert. It’s crowded as hell so you might want to let it die down for a bit before checking it out.

The Dirty Dollar.
We headed towards LA in search for a few gems. After being shut down a few times we ended up at The Dirty Dollar for what we though was going to be a mellow session. Turned out to be one of the heaviest sessions I’ve seen in a while.
