RAD X GN

Here’s a tattoo idea I had my buddy Rob whip up in a few seconds; Alfrad X Gross Negligence.. but it didn’t really fit- so he did something else that should be popping up on here in a day or so..
If you want to make a permanent bad decision- Rob is the man.. He works at All American Tattoo and has been skating and listening to punk rock before George Washington started growing cannabis.  His artwork is absolutely insane and will give you a raging mega-huge boner.

Painting the Wiltern Brown

Opening up with Exacty Where I’m At, then following with Don’t Get 2 Close; they played probably five songs before acknowledging the crowd whatsoever. The Let’s dance Cover was so on point, it totally blew my mind. Deaner shouts out “We have a special guest tonight . . . Mr. David Bowie!”  He looked off stage, “No, it’s cool. I’ll sing it. I was completely suprised when the started playing Push Th’ Little Daisies, I’ve never seen it and didn’t expect the Beavis and Butthead endorsed number. The next cover was Ace Of Spades with Dave on vocals, perfection again. They closed with Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s Lucky Man, with Glenn on mic, glory again. I’m always really excited for the covers, they’re new every time, whilst still familiar and phenomenal.

Another great show, good solos on every song. The Wiltern, sold out, elbow to elbow, without  a support album even. I could have used some more really fucked up 20+ minute covers, but I guess I’ll have to wait another two years until they come back. Two hour set, with about a 15 minute encore.  There were a lot of songs that I wished they played, though most of that list I’ve seen, so it worked out to be a pretty fresh set. I missed out on tickets, so bought some highly inflated ones, it had to be done; worth it.

I’m so grateful for the quality these little video recording devices have achieved. Finally decent mics!

Grosso Partys at Jokers.

Checked out the Anti Hero Grosso board release party last night at Jokers Skate Shop. The place was packed from the back wall to the front door. Free pizza and drinks for everyone. Every Grosso board came off the wall and was gone in the first 15 minutes of the event. Legends Lance, Lucero, Duane, Hosoi came out to show support and the Anti Hero team was there to hold it down.

Grewer, Allen, Grosso, Stranger, Cardiel, and Roy bringing the heat.

I walked away with one of the limited Jokers colorway. 1 of 30.

I had the opportunity of going to Santa Cruz this weekend for the Vans JTDTI.  Tradition continued, by handing out custom Vans cruiser decks to all the competitors, photographers, and videographers.  This time, Russ forgot hardware, bearings, grip, trucks, wheels, and tools (basically, every single thing but the deck).  He told me he was heading to NHS to pick up some shit from his friend Jeff Kendall.  So I fucking went; Look.

Creature Decks, hot off the press.

Russ Pope designed this board in ’93; This is the board that the ‘New’ Creature
based their entire revival off of.  I saw the office that Russ single-handedly created
Creature in.. He butcher papered the walls and wouldn’t let anyone but Novak see
what he was up to..

Make a shirt.

Jim Phillips art detail for the Grosso graphic below..

OG Grosso shit.

If you’re over 35, I’m sure your first board is on this wall (I only shot 1/8th of it..)

More OG Grosso shit.. the original toybox graphic.

NHS in all its glory.
