Shredtastic Saturday.

The good people at Vans and World Cup Skateboarding held the first Am-Tec Pool Party at the Combi this past Saturday. Danimal and DeWit hooked me up with a media pass to shoot some pics of the groms. These little bastards were ripping the place to pieces. The future is looking pretty bright…that is until they find girls and they quit skating.

I couldn’t hang any longer, so I ditched the finals and headed down south to check out the Bones Video premiere at SoCal Skateshop. Over 100 people showed up, Mumma was out back grilling dogs and a heated session was going down on the shop ramp.

Tristan didn’t get enough skating the Combi contest all day, so he finds the most ridiculous board and lays one down.

Hit a few backyarders on Sunday with the crew. The local Sheriff dropped by one and kindly asked us to leave. We obliged and moved on to the next. Dropped a few pumps in this one in the morning while Ozzie stayed and cleaned it up right. Came back in the afternoon to get a few licks.

Grosso Partys at Jokers.

Checked out the Anti Hero Grosso board release party last night at Jokers Skate Shop. The place was packed from the back wall to the front door. Free pizza and drinks for everyone. Every Grosso board came off the wall and was gone in the first 15 minutes of the event. Legends Lance, Lucero, Duane, Hosoi came out to show support and the Anti Hero team was there to hold it down.

I walked away with one of the limited Jokers colorway. 1 of 30.

I had the opportunity of going to Santa Cruz this weekend for the Vans JTDTI. Tradition continued, by handing out custom Vans cruiser decks to all the competitors, photographers, and videographers. This time, Russ forgot hardware, bearings, grip, trucks, wheels, and tools (basically, every single thing but the deck). He told me he was heading to NHS to pick up some shit from his friend Jeff Kendall. So I fucking went; Look.

based their entire revival off of. I saw the office that Russ single-handedly created
Creature in.. He butcher papered the walls and wouldn’t let anyone but Novak see
what he was up to..
