Huge thank you to everyone that came out to the photo show last night. It was an amazing night and we truly appreciate the support. If you missed it, the show will stay up for the month of June and for the Summer Kick-Off First Wednesday event at Community where Would Shop is located. Event is from 7-10pm on June 6 and the address is 423 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim, CA 92804. Check https://www.facebook.com/communitysocal for more info.
The Light Death Art Show was held at Hurley headquarters this past Friday featuring art from Lance Mountain, Salba, Steve Olson, Duane Peters and C.R. Stecyk III. Powerflex 5 played some live music thoughout the night and the skatepark was open to the public. Only a few pieces from each artist were displayed, but all were epic in their own right. Some of the stand outs for me were Lance’s Nude Bowl replica and DP’s guitar.

Taco Dudes were there serving up the grub and PBR was there to help wash it down. Hurley was printing t-shirts right on the spot, but we got there late and missed out on them. Luckily, I did get my hands on the Light Death zine was being handed out showcasing random shots from pool adventures.
PK put together a video from the sesh at Ridiculous prior to the show.
Thanks to Hurley and everyone involved for a great event.
Come Friday, April 6th, Hurley will host what is likely to be one of our best art shows to date. Partly because it’s way more than just an art show. Here’s the rundown: An art show from a loose-knit aggregation of pool agitators, congregators, drainers and riders. New work by skate legends Salba, C.R. Stecyk III, Lance Mountain, Duane Peters and Steve Olson. Live performance by Salba’s all-star tuff guy band: Powerflex 5. The skatepark will be open to the public, and the sublimation truck will be cranking out free customizable Salba clothing. Free handmade Salba zines for the first 100 guests. The fun starts at 6 and goes until 9. See all you cats there!
